During March of 1945, the U.S. began engaging in battles around Okinawa. Within 3 months, 25% of the population was killed. This history of violence is still going on today, but Okinawans are fighting back against this 70 year long occupation.

Film will be followed by a Q&A and Discussion with UCSC Professor Alan Christy and Doctoral Student Yoko Fukumura.
